The Fair is Coming!
The biggest event on the Westside is coming in just a matter of days and the organizers of Westside Daze promise that it will be loaded with entertainment for all ages. This “Kick-off to Summer” event takes place June 29th – July 2nd.
Some of the highlights of this four day fair include:
A Kid’s Fair, West Coast Amusement Rides, Daily Live Entertainment, Okanagan Days, Fireworks, a Parade, Car Show, BBQ’s and Pancake Breakfasts, Cardboard Boat Races, Slo-Pitch Tournaments and Motocross Demonstrations.
The parade, fireworks and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal Presentations take place on Saturday, June 30th. This year the Parade Marshall will be the Honourable Steven Point, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia.

10:15 pm Fireworks on the Lake
West Coast Amusements and live entertainment will take place each day with Sunday being the day for the Canada Day cake cutting and the car show awards and trophies. Monday the fun continues with rides, live entertainment, motocross demonstrations and sukanaqin sxelxalt (Okanagan Day) celebrations.
Where does all this fun take place? In Memorial Park which is adjacent to Johnson Bentley Pool, as well as the land next to A&W.
